June Favourites 2015

Hello everyone! Yet again, I have another monthly favourites blog post for you! June went by super fast, the weather is warming up, it's staying lighter for longer into the night and everyone is just generally in a better mood! Woo hoo!

My first favourite for this past month are the NYX Lip Pencils. They have been a staple in my makeup collection since I've been wearing brighter, bolder lip colours. I like having a clean crisp line when rocking my lipstick and these are amazing lipliners. For only $4.99, these have great pigmentation and last a very long time. Let me know if you want to see a post of NYX lip pencils that match Mac lipsticks.

in color The Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette has been another fave of mine this month. I especially enjoy using the dark brown shade "Faint" to line my eyes. This is a new trick Iv'e been loving lately because it makes my lashes look thick and it isn't as harsh as my usual liquid liner.

I've also been loving highlighting my face lately. My favourite products for this are the Mac Mineralized Skinfinishes. They aren't overly shimmery and don't appear glittery on the skin.

My final favourite from this month is the Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation. I blend it onto my face with my beauty blender and it gives a natural, medium coverage look that is perfect for summer!

February Favourites 2015

Hello everyone! We have been yet again, speeding through our 2015 year and I have a couple of new favourites from this past month!

My nails have been something I've paid more attention to this month. Even though, my nails aren't polishes as I'm typing this post, the Burts Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream has been saving my nails and fingers this month. My skin has been really dry this winter compared to others and my cuticles have been torn up like crazy. It is not too greasy and really repairs the skin around my nails, plus it smells lemony fresh!

Speaking of dry skin, Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Lotion has been another life saver. I have recently discovered that I am allergic to Bath and Body Works Body Lotion and will break out in a rash so I decided to pick up a new one to try out...and it's now my new favourite. It absorbs into the skin so quickly and keeps my skin soft for a very long time.

Mac Well Dressed Blush has also been another one of my faves for February. It looks great on fair skin and gives you a super healthy flush with an added sheen!

November Favourites

Holy moly! Where has this month gone!? It was like the leaves were on the trees and everything was green and growing and now here we are with snow on the ground! Here in Canada, it has definitely gotten quite cold and bitter :(

This month I only bought a few new things so I have been using up what I have. I think next month I will have some more "new" favourites just because of Christmas and the holidays :) a good time to splurge and treat myself.

Batiste Dry Shampoo has been my life saver this month! I finally payed the few extra bucks and got this dry shampoo to try out. It is amazing! By far, the best dry shampoo I have ever used. It leaves your hair feeling so clean, unlike some others that can feel tacky and goopy in your roots.

Another fave has been my new Mac Lipglass in the shade Cultured. I haven't always been a gloss girl, I much prefer the high colour of a lipstick but I am slowly working my way into the lipgloss world. This colour is a perfect light pink that I can top over almost any lipstick colour in my collection.

My last of few favourites this month has been the Essence Concealer duo. This has been doing a great job at covering up my blemishes throughout the month without looking cakey or thick. Super affordable too.

October Favourites

Hey guys! Today I have gathered up my faves from the month of October and I am here to share :) This month I didn't buy too much new makeup. I am working on using what I have and just keeping my necessities.

Voluminous mascara Voluminous® Power 24HTM BlackMy first and most fave product from this month is a new mascara I tried! It is from L'oreal and it is the Voluminous Power 24H Mascara. This claims to give volume for 24 hours and the collagen in the mascara thickens lashes all day and night. I love how separated my lashes become yet they look very thick. It doesn't clump up very much at all which I love.

Another favourite of mine this month has been my Ponds Dry Skin Cream. Lately, my skin has become quite dry and flaky on my cheeks and nose so I've needed that extra boost of moisture and this has been working great for my skin.

One product I have had for a while but am finally loving now, is the  Maybelline Baby Skin Primer. I really like to apply this under my eyes before concealer. It is meant to fill pores and fill in areas of the skin so when this is under my eyes, it smooths all fine lines and makes my concealer go on like a dream. I also notice that my concealer lasts a lot longer throughout the day when I apply the primer before application of my concealer.

To go along with the whole concealer theme, I have been loving using the E.L.F. HD Under Eye Setting Powder to set my concealer. I have a review on this so you might already know just how much I love this! It makes me under eye area so soft and smooth after I apply my concealer. It is translucent too so it doesn't add any more cakey powder to the delicate area.

September Favourites

My Oh My! Where has the time gone! It is the end of September already!?! Before we know it, we will be welcoming 2015 in a few months.. scary! I know

This month I have been enjoying a few new products but mostly enjoying my tried and true products from my makeup collection.

The Covergirl TRUblend Liquid Foundation has been my go to this month. It is super creamy and blends like a dream. It has medium coverage in my opinion but can be built up to add a little extra if you would like. The texture is quite thick so a little does go a long way with this foundation. if you have oily skin like me, all you need is to set this foundation with a powder after application.
right!

Another favourite of mine is the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. I feel like this was in my last favourites post but I love it so much. This is the brush I use to apply my foundation and it buffs it in to perfection while maintaining good coverage at the same time. The brush hairs are synthetic, therefore, it won't absorb any of your liquid products.

This month, I have been really into grooming my brows and having them look perfect! My favourite thing to fill them in with is Mac Charcoal Brown Eyeshadow. I use a super thing angled eyeliner brush and just fill in the sparse areas. I like this shade because it is cool toned. That means that the shade of brown doesn't have red in it and it matches my hair colour better.

My last favourite for this month isn't makeup related but I MUST share it with you guys. It is my LUG Promenade Tote. If you guys have never heard of the brand LUG before, I am sadly shocked haha! My mom first introduced me to this brand a few years back and I have made a few purchases since. Basically, it is all purses, bags and totes that they carry. They are amazing quality, super spacious and their bags are just really practical and the design is thought out very well. They come with lifetime warranty and are just perfect for daily use! Here is the link to my bag but I encourage you to look around on their website. They are quite pricey but worth every single penny. I use mine for my daily purse and bag for school. It fits books, lunch and every other thing I may need!

If you would like a more in depth review on LUG bags and more info about the company, let me know down below and I can have a post in the near future about that for you!

August Favourites

Hello! Hello! Today I will be sharing my August Favourites with you all. This month I purchased a lot of new makeup in the states so many of these products are still pretty new to me.

The first favourite of mine is a classic fav! I've had this concealer before and loved it. It is the Age Rewind Dark Circles by Maybelline. It does a great job of cancelling out the darkness under my eyes and doesn't crease too bad either.

Another product I've been loving is my Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat. I purchased it this month and have been IN LOVE!! It makes me nails look like gel nails from the salon. It's amazing how smooth my nails are and glossy and the fact that it dries so fast, makes it a winner in my books :) If you guys would like a review, let me know below!

The third favourite of mine this month is the Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains. These are pretty new to me as well and I am amazed. The formula is super cool. They go on glossy but dry quick and become one with your lips. It weird but so cool! I will definitely being doing a review on the 3 shades I own, very soon.

July Favourites

Today I will be sharing my favourite products for the month of July. This month I have been really using what I have in my collection and making use of the old products I already have.

Watts Up Highlighter by Benefit has been one of my most used products this month! I recieve do it in sample form from Sephora a little while back and I haven't started using it until now. It gives a beautiful glow to the cheekbones and makes the face look radiant and youthful.

Coral Bliss Lipstick by Mac, is by far my favourite lippie for the month! It is a light muted coral and is great for someone who is like me and starting to venture into more bold colours of lipsticks and glosses.

Another favourite of the month of July of mine is the NYX Dewy Makeup Setting Spray. This is great for locking in your makeup to have it last all day and it is also good at giving your face makeup a natural look. If you find your face looking cakey, spritz this all over your face to make it look natural and like skin.

June Favourites

Hey guys! Today I will be sharing my favourites from the month of June. This month I rediscovered some old favourites in my collection so here they are.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation has been the first fave of mine this month. It gives the skin a dewy, fresh and healthy look. It is very natural and is great for the summer months. I have a full review on this foundation that I will be posting very soon.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette is an old favourite of mine and I prefer it over the third palette that I have. I have been reaching for this one this month and I enjoy the cool tones in this palette.

Maybelline The Rocket Mascara is a cult classic of mine and always be. I opened a fresh one this month and I have been loving it. It is very black and it holds the curl on my very straight lashes.

Mac Creme Cup Lipstick has been what I've been wearing almost everyday. It goes with natural and dramatic eye looks and has a blue undertone so it never makes my teeth look yellow.

April Favourites

Today we will be sharing our favourite products from April with you! It has finally started getting nice where we live so have been breaking out some new products. Enjoy! :)

Our first product is loved by both sisters and they are the NYX Butter Glosses. We bought these at ULTA and they are fabulous. They are super creamy on the lips and don't feel sticky at all. The lasting power is another thing we love too. They have a large colour range and are only $3.99.

Another product we have been liking this month are the Maybeline Color Tattoos from the Spring 2014 Dare to Go Nude Collection. We have both of the nude beige colours and one of the taupe colours. They are all very creamy compared to the permanent collection and sadly, these are all Limited Edition so you need to get your hands on these fast!

Our third favourite is one of the Mac lipsticks we just posted recently in our Mini Mac Haul. The colour is Snapdragon and like we described, it is a gorgeous blue toned medium pink with lavender iridescent.

Our second last product is the Maybelline MasterHi-light Blush in the shade Pink Rose. Its super pretty, it goes with lots of eye looks and it has a gorgeous amount of shimmer which gives your face a healthy glow.

February Favourites

Today we will be sharing our favourite products from the month of February with you.

NYX Rouge Cream Blush in the colour Boho Chic. This is a great cream blush, one of our only cream blushes. It is super creamy and gives the perfect natural flush of colour to the cheeks.

ELF Eyelid Primer is another favourite of ours this month. It is only a dollar at target and is just as good as some high end eyeshadow primers.

Maybelline Line Stiletto Liquid Eyeliner is not surprising that this is our fave liquid eyeliner. It had definitely replaced our L'oreal one.

Sinful Colors Nailpolishes have been an outstanding nailpolish for us. For only $1.99 a piece, they last a long time, don't chip and have a wide colour range to choose from.

Maybeline Colour Tattoos have been an amazing product for me. My favourite shade is in Barely Branded. I know that some people have difficulty keeping their creamy, but mine stay perfectly smooth. I also have two other shades in Too Cool and Silver Strike. These are awesome eyeshadow bases and I really recommend them.

NYX Boheme Chic Nude Matte Collection Eyeshadow and Blush Palette is great. They have great long lasting eyeshadows and two blushes. One of the blushs is a coral/orange and the other one is a Pink/ Red. I use this palette for eyeshadows but also to fill in my eyebrows.

January 2014 Favourites

Here are our favourite products from the first month in 2014...

Garnier Fructis Volume Extend Dry Shampoo: This is a newly discovered product for us and it might be new to the drugstore as well. This is one of the best drugstore dry shampoos we have found. It does not leave a heavy residue in our hair. We are looking forward to trying the new Herbal Essence Dry Shampoo as well.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks: These are by far our favourite lipsticks. This month we have both been rocking colored lips. Anything from hot pinks and reds to berry and purple colors. These lipsticks are super creamy and provide good pigmentation.

Eco Tools Airbrush Concealer Brush: This is an amazing makeup brush to have to blend out
concealer under your eyes and even to possibly use with eyeshadow in the crease.

Naked Basics Palette: We have been loving this for eyes and brows. They are all matte colors except for one shade and are great for a natural eye makeup look.

Maybelline Color Tattoos: These are highly pigmented affordable cream shadows. They are lots of colors to choose from and the greatest thing is that they do not crease.
