Concealer trick
Hey guys! Today I have a little tip/trick when it comes to using concealer. A lot of people start off with concealer and then use foundation but really, you should do it the other way around. Concealer is to hide what the foundation can't so applying concealer afterwards ensures that you will only put it where you really need it. Hope you guys enjoyed this tip for today! :)

My Dupe List
Hey guys! Today I will be sharing a few dupes with you. Basically, this means that I will be comparing a highend product, to a drugstore product for their similarities.
My first dupe is a lipstick. I recently picked up the lipstick shade 'Toying Around' from Mac's Playland Collection and I have found a dupe incase you missed out on that collection. The dupe is.. Maybellines Color Sensational Liptick in the shade Coral Crush. I bought these both around the same time and was dissapointed I have two of the pretty much exact same colours but I was happy that I found such a similar dupe for you guys!
My second dupe is 2 blushes. The highend one is a favourite of mine for the glow it gives and how healthy it makes your skin look. It is the famous Coralista Boxed Blush from Benefit. The dupe I have found for this blush is from E.L.F. and it is only $3. The shade is Candid Coral. You can find this at your local Target for only a fraction of the price!
The final dupe I have for you today is another lip product. I have found a dupe for Mac's Lipstick in the shade Please Me. It is a matte neutral pink and the drugstore dupe is the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm and the colour is Elusive.
I hope you enjoyed these few duplicates of makeup products! Let me know in the comments of some other dupes you know of and if you would like me to find more :)

My "On-the-Go" Makeup
Today I will be sharing what I bring with me on the go as far as makeup and beauty products. I think it isn't necessary to bring a ton of makeup with you on a daily basis and if you feel that you need even less than me, feel free to adjust it to your liking.
This first product that is a must; for me especially is some sort of pressed powder. I am very oily and it's nice to remove the shine throughout the day. My favourite is Mac Skinfinish Natural because it doesn't make your makeup look cakey. Also, just a reminder is to bring a little brush or powder puff to apply this powder.
Another item that is nice to have in my opinion, is an eyelash curler. This may not be needed for everyone but I have very droopy lashes so it's nice to just perk up my lashes throughout the day. It makes your eyes look more bright and can make you look more awake.
An eyeliner is another great product to have with you on the go. Adding a little eyeliner can define your eyes for a night out if needed and could even be blended out on the lid to create a cream shadow look.
For lips, I would bring something nude or pink, something that will go with all eye looks. Just incase you forget your lip product with you, you have a universal shade to go with any eye look you may have!
An extra that is nice to have is blotting papers. They can absorb oils on your face but if you find that your foundation or concealer is settling or creasing, blot with the paper and it will instantly smooth the harsh line.
That's all that I bring with me on the go! It's fast to use in a pinch and step up my look :)

Top Beauty Products Under $5
Today I will be sharing my ultimate favourite beauty products that are only $5 or even less. I thought this was a great idea for people on a budget or someone like me, who would rather get an item for cheap instead of expensive but still have amazing quality.
My first product is the E.L.F. Lip Exfoliator. This is a recent purchase of mine and I have fallen in love. It is fast and convenient but it also really does get rid of the dead skin and smooth your lips out. This is a great step to do before lipstick as well because it makes it go on much smoother.

My next must have product is another product from E.L.F. It is their eyeshadow "C" Brush. This is very affordable; under $3. It does a great job of packing on colour onto your lid but can be used in many different ways throughout your eye makeup.
Another must have is lip balm. After exfoliating or wearing lipstick throughout the day, mositurizing your lips is very important. My favourite is from Nivea and it's their kiss of Milk and Honey one. It is not too thick but it sticks around for a little while. It also smells very pleasant too.
For nails, a super affordable brand that has a great formula and colour range is Sinful Colours. These can be found at target and other drugstores. They bare all very opaque and i enjoy doing nail art with them.

Fake Mac Makeup!?!
Hey guys! So it was brought to my attention on Pinterest actually, that lately Fake Mac Cosmetics have been a problem many people are getting them selves into. I always knew there was fake stuff out there but now is it becoming very popular.
In the news, a little while back, they had been informing people about Fake High End Cosmetics and their were Cancer Causing Ingredients in some of these cosmetics.
One website for sure that has Fake Mac and that you CANNOT trust is.... http://www.ladymaccosmetics.com/other-brand-c-39.html
I found this one through Pinterest and it was advertising Mac Eyeshadows and Lipsticks for $5-$7. I clicked the website link, curious, and discovered how desperate people are. I could tell right away that this was fake by the products themselves.
<-------- For example, these foundations. They are being marketed as "From the Hello Kitty Collection" well if you know Mac, they didn't release foundations with the Hello Kitty collection from a few years ago. Also, Mac doesn't release a full new line of foundations with a character or somebodies collection. It's always in it's own collection.
My advice for you is to keep a close look out and don't be fooled. Using common sense helps a lot.. like no high end makeup would EVER be that cheap unless it's at their Outlet store like the CCO.
That's all I have for you guys today! :) leave a comment below telling me if you knew about this scam or how you have avoided it!

Mac Starter Kit
Hey guys! Today I will be sharing some of my must have products from Mac and what I think is great for beginners with makeup or are new to the brand Mac.
First to start off is Face makeup. I would honestly skip foundations from Mac. They tend to break a lot of people out and I have found drugstore gems that are even better. As for face though, their Mineralized Skinfinish Natural is as hit in my books. It is great to set your makeup or on lazy days, buff into the skin for a flawless look. It truly blurs imperfections and never looks cakey.
Blush is one of my favourite things from Mac. They have so many different shades and finish of blush so it can be a little overwhelming. A great colour to start out with is Well Dressed. It is a great light baby pink colour but I also enjoy Rosy Outlook as a natural, peachy colour to just warm up your complexion.
For eyes, Eyeshadows are one of the things Mac is most popular for. They have a wide range of colours and neutral shades for you to choose from. Some of my favourites include Naked Lunch, Wedge, Charcoal Brown and Satin Taupe. A light pop of colour is good to have too and I like Seedy Pearl. It is a very light frosty purple with gold shimmers and it makes green and brown eyes pop a lot.
Lastly, Lips! My favourite thing from Mac. I have a small obsession with their Lipsticks if you can't already tell from all my "Mac Lipstick Haul" posts on my blog. My newest and all time favourite Lipstick is Creme Cup. It is the prettiest nude milky baby pink and it goes with all makeup looks. I also love Coral Bliss for adding a neutral pop of colour in the Spring and Summer time.

So those were my recommendations for Mac Makeup. I know it can be very overwhelming but it is important to know that you need to slowly build up your collections. Nobody needs to fill a whole eyeshadow palette in one shopping trip!
Thanks for checking out my blog today guy. If you have any requests on what posts you would like next, let me know down below in the comments.

Contouring
So to start you will need;
- an angled contour brush
- a matte bronzer (shade depends on skin colour)
For me, the hardest part is finding a good product/shade and also, not over doing it. In my opinion, makeup is meant to enhance your features and define features so by no means should you be creating a whole new face shape.
- Start out by lightly swirling your brush into the powder. I use NYC Bronzer in shade: Sunny. It is affordable and I find it doesn't look too orangey on my light complexion.
- Next, I locate my cheek bones. You can do this by making a fishy face and where your face indents on your cheeks, is where you want to apply the bronzer.
- After that, I brush the colour back and forth into the hollow of my cheeks (indents from fishy face) TIP: Don't bring the colour past your outer corner of your eye. Anything past this point, looks unnatural.
- And Voila! A natural and easy contour. You can also dust a bit of bronzer onto your temples and around your hairline on your forehead to pull the whole look together.

Summer Lipstick Trends

First, anything orange! This is a major trend for the summer, a bright summer captures the warmth of the sun but is fun and flirty. Some great colours are Mac Toying Around Lipstick from the Playland Collection or Revlon Unapologetic Colorburst Matte Balm is a great alternative from the drugstore. To continue this trend into the fall, go for a deeper, less neon shade.
Another hue which is always in for the summer are bright, hot pink fushia colours. My favourite is Maybelline Fushia Flash Color Vivids but if you would like a high end product, Bobbi Brown Cosmic Raspberry is a great one too.
The last trend I will be talking about today is purple! This is a fave of mine and I feel so bold and unique when rocking a bright purple lip! The one I love is Mac Heroine. It does look quite dark in the tube but on my fair skin it looks bright and almost neon.

Your Best Eyes Ever: Small Eyes
We all have different eye shapes and many of us want to camouflage, change or perfect our facial features. Today, I will be teaching you all about opening up small eyes and making them the focal point of your look!
With small eyes, you want to open up and highlight recessed eyes. Something to avoid are dark eyeshadows and eyeliners around your entire eye. This causes them to appear even smaller and closed off. Line only the outer corners of your eyes instead to give a wide-eyed, doll eye effect.
To highlight the eyes, add a light champagne shimmery colour on the inner corners of your eyes. This will make you look much more awake. Also try lining your waterline with a white or nude colour liner to make them eyes pop! :)

E.L.F. at Target in Canada?!?
Hey guys! I have a quick little post for you today! I was just at my target today and I stopped by the makeup section and to my surprise I saw a full display of E.L.F. Cosmetics! I saw a post on Facebook a few days ago about Target Canada carrying E.L.F. coming soon but I never thought it would be THIS soon. I have always loved taking shopping trips down to the states to get E.L.F. Makeup but now I have it right her in the city! I was also impressed with the selection. They had lots of brushes to choose from, including my fave, the eyeshadow "C" brush. It is fantastic for packing colour onto the lid. They also had lots of HD items, like the setting powder for face and under eyes and the HD blushes in the little pump which is like a cream/gel formula. Overall, I was super impressed with the selection of products, the price was only $1 more than in the states and you can look forward to a haul and many reviews coming next month :)

Makeup No Buy! :)
Hey guys!!! I hope you enjoyed my #LipWeek and #EyeWeek on my blog these past 2 weeks. I didn't plan on doing one for the face but I will if you would be interested.. comment down below if you are!
I was posting today to inform you on something I am doing and I was hoping you would do it with me! For the whole month of June, I am promising to not buy ANY makeup. Makeup remover and skincare is fine if it's a necessity but all makeup products are a no for this month. My birthday is in July so I decided I would save some money and splurge on some Mac Makeup around my birthday.
This is a great way to save money up, shop your stash, discover products you never used or simply finish up products! That's my case. I was looking in my makeup collection and I noticed how much makeup I was almost finished. Foundation, blush, Mac Mineralized Skinfish Natural! I have enough products to back to Mac now too! :)
So I hope you guys take on this challenge with me!!
